The results are in! How loud did we ROAR?

Remember the exciting presumed-success that was ROAR Day 2013? Well, the numbers are in - and I can indeed confirm that ROAR Day was a huge success for our Microgrant, Major Impact Challenge!!!

  • ROAR Day student, faculty and staff gifts/pledges to the CIS Student Microgrants Fund totaled over $3,000
  • Based on the ROAR Day matching gift for student, faculty and staff gifts (offered by the team of five administrators who matched gifts $5-$50), the fund will receive an additional $1,780
  • 35 Faculty/Staff participated, which is over 50%, thereby reaching our participation goal and earning Stefi's personal match! (We also had 16 students participate!)
  • To date, the total potential money raised for the fund, including gifts/pledges, both matching gift challenges, and Stefi's match, amounts to $9,324!
This is incredibly exciting!!! But we aren't off the hook yet - the challenge still isn't over. We still have some room to maximize Stefi's match limit of $5,000 before the Challenge ends in February. But, at least we already have two major successes under our belt: faculty/staff participation, and a huge surge of generosity benefiting our student microgrant program! No matter what the final tally, we are already winners. Yeah!
